Picnic at the Christchurch Botanic Gardens

It was another very hot day 28 degrees with a small breeze. We decided we would meet up with Mum and Dad at the Botanic Gardens for a picnic lunch. We sat on the riverbank and the ducks came right up and fed out of Danny's hand. After looking around at the rose garden and then the nurse's garden I brought a few plants for the garden. The sale of plants go to support the friends of the botanic gardens. I got some michelmas daisies, a creamy yellow daisy, a purple/burgundy pestomen and a purple tucrean.

We looked around the rose garden. Danny, Dad, Joseph and Bethany, we found this great ecalptytus tree with a twisted trunk to take this picture.

Hand feeding the ducks at the gardens.
